The boat starts right up and the engine runs smooth, But this time there a loud whine from the front where the Belts are, I see the water pump rattling a lot & it started over heating to about 190, I then noticed and turned it right off. I can't figure out what it is. This whine sounds loud then soft then loud.

Here's A video of the engine running with the noise. I literally don't know what to do, and im pretty limited on funds. I did the oil and filters change on and everything. And this just had to happen.

I might have figured it out. The water pump isnt fully tight on the Pulley. This is exactly how mine is shaking and maybe causing the noise also. What should i do, I dont have much funds right now.. so im hoping its nothing serious.

Your impeller mounted to the crankshaft is shaking a lot. When was the last time the impeller was changed? There is also a bearing inside that impeller that could be bad.

If you ran the engine up to 190 degrees, then you most likely damaged your impeller. The housing I am seeing on your video suggests that the whole pump assembly has previously been replaced (they are painted red from new). If I were you, I would remove the impeller and replace it with a new one ($60 - don't use a cheap one under any circumstances!!). Happy to help with removal if you are unsure how to do this, it is not a hard job. Definitely check the bearing also - if the bolts on the housing and the securing bracket are already tight, then that would be fairly conclusive on the bearing in my book. I am assuming you are not running the engine dry? I could not see a hose attached to your flush pipe?

Is there nothing to hold that water pump rigid? Anyway, Also it looks like the center bolt on your engine pulley is loose, and moving in, & out, while spinning. This last item maybe the squealing noise, if the engine pulley is loose?

I just want to point out that I believe the OP is saying that the second video he posted is LIKE his engine, but not actually a video of his engine. MikDee, you'll notice a black bar coming off the top left corner of the water pump in the second video. The purpose of that piece is to hold the pump rigid, and it seems to be doing a decent job except the pump is vibrating around it.

Check out post #7 of this thread. For these engines, the power steering pulley seems to commonly create noise. I'd rule that out before assuming the water pump is the problem.
