Volvo penta 7.4 raw water pump

I'm changing my raw water pump on volvo penta 7.4 to a crankshaft pump that is a johnson f6b-9. With it mounted to the crankshaft, which port is the in port? It is a single engine which is right rotation.

look at the cover on the pump. there are arrows. you have a left hand running motor.

Agree, and if hose from drive comes in on starboard side it will be on top, and if on port side it will be on the bottom
