I've tried this on the Albemarle owners forum and another forum with not much luck! Maybe someone here can help.

I have, from what I can tell, using the VP identification chart, a AQ280DP/PT, with no mfg tag. Out of curiousity, I looked at fleabay to see if there were any parts similar to my unit and found a power trim bracket that looks like mine that the seller said fit a AQ280T.

Can anyone tell me the part# to use with Marine Power to find the right schematic? They do not reference the AQ280. Thanks for any help!!

looks like someone converted a 280 to a DP. lower is most likely off a 290. upper gear box is the same. Which part are you looking for?

I contacted marinepartsexpress and Fred help guide me to the correct schematics. They were buried under marine diesel engines AQ260A. This is a AQ280 duoprop/power trim unit.

Now I just need to determine what seals, bushings and miscellaneous parts I need to do a refinish and reseal.

reseal kit is the same for the 280 DP and 290 DP.

you will have to determine if you have shims or crush sleeve in the upper gear case to determine if you need to buy shims and/or a new crush sleeve if you pull it apart.

I would also get a new crush/seal washer (behind the u-joint, where the input seal rides). if you have any water in your bellows, this metal part is probably rusty and wearing away at your seal.
