bought a scrap boat for parts. ripped engine and outdrive out. lots of good clean oil in outdrive. took lower unit off with no probs. trying to take upper drive off but the ujoint is seized onto drive shaft in bell housing. tryed prying it out ( only need parts inside gear housing) so damage to ujoint dont matter. i even went as far as to wrap a chain around the ujoint and lift whole engine up with a tractor and while under weight of the engine pounded on engine with a sledge hammer and i still cant seperate. it should just slide out no prob like my other 270 drive did that im fixing. ( engine going to scrap yard has a cracked block so dont care about damage to it either). is there some sort of c-clip or something holding the ujoint on the engine . doesnt look rusted at all to me
