Hello all. I recently purchased a 1994 Cobalt 272. This boat is equiped with a 7.4 GL PMDM, DP-D1 drive, and B2 props. Slowly going through things. In the processes of removing the props I found that I am missing washers. Having a hard time finding current resources/diagrams showing the correct parts and numbers. Any info would be appreciated.

DP_D1 gear housing parts...Start at item number 39 +, http://www.volvopentastore.com/Lowe...on_id.105389906--store_id.366--view_id.772659

All DP_D1 parts, http://www.volvopentastore.com/Mari...-2-30-7749309/dm/store_id.366--view_id.765056

All 7.4 GL PMDM Engine parts,

Note that in each parts image you open, you have to ensure your engine/drive numbers/letters are written there as some of them parts images may be for slightly different models and you don't really know until you open each one and see this for example..., "For: DP-D1 1.68, DP-D1 1.78, DP-D1 1.95, DP-D1 2.30".

Thanks FT. I had been on the website to buy impeller, t stat, filters, etc. but couldn't seem to find the lower unit info. This is what I needed. The first link makes me wonder how accurate the picture of the washers are. I have a thin, splined thrust washer for #36 but the picture looks almost like a cup.

Next question. Anyone have a remedy for stuck dipstick screw in top of lower unit? Soaked with Kriol, big screw driver with wrench for extra hiney. Not enough room to swing a hammer on a impact screw driver.

pull the drive (its annual service requirement anyway) and get out from under the boat where you have room. suggest making a drive stand

Definitly. Got it loose tonight and serviced it. Used amsoil. I did find a small amount of what I'm guessing was water in the oil. About 2% was milky. Was completely rebuilt (gears, bearings, seals, etc.) not too many hours ago. I've never pulled a lower unit and serviced myself but it looks like it's on the to do list this fall/winter along with mastering pressure testing for leaks. Hope to get it out yet a hand full of times. Summer is short here.

To help ease that uncertainty of is that is the right part vs what you know you have, You can usually take the part number and do an online image search and/or run the part number through EBay and usually you may find an actual photo of the part to help compare it too before ordering it from iboats ;) :D such as the following, item number 36,
872871, 3856070, Replaced by 3858457 https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=3858457&_sacat=0
