hmmm CAREFUL
this question quite often comes up about auto ver marine and can be answered this way - careful -
Marine engines have stainless parts eg welsh plugs, the back on the water pump etc, auto engines dont, yes they can be marinised but i also heard that the castings are different (not sure about his one) and they can't be marinised.

If it is sea water cooled i be worried as well.

how seiezed is siezed and why ? sometimes even a very small part can stop and engine from turning and can be freed up easily. Maybe rebuild what you have might be a better option.
Cheers

Just like an electrician or a plumber has to follow a set of codes for your safety, an enclosed gasoline engine has to comply with federal laws in the areas of fuel, electrical, and ignition systems, along with guidelines for backfire flame control, exhaust cooling, etc. Don't even think about HEI distributors, automotive starters, alternators, carbs, etc.

Talk to a QUALIFIED professional familiar with part 183 in the Code of Federal Regulations.

you can use a standard 350 with brass freeze plugs
and a marine head gasket set don't plan on using your hei though you have to use the prestolite intrinsicaly safe distributor and alternator and the volvo starter you'll need a marine service circulation pump as well
