do volvo penta AQ250-275 outdrives need routine maint besides changing the oil ? I was told there are no impellers within the outdrive and the outdrive was last run a few years ago, I think the bellows should be replaced.

You can go over to the I/O forums and do a search for Volvo Penta 275. You'll probably find a few service manuals.

Bellows are always a good idea to service every few years or so. If the u-joint bellows rips or tears, you'll be soaking a whole bunch of rustable parts in water constantly.

The zinc anodes need changed when they wear down or you'll risk corrosion.

There are now impellers inside the drive, that is contained on the front of the motor.
