Twin Volvo penta 4.3 twin duo props year 2004
two years ago power steering actuator seal was leaking a pint of PS fluid into bilge
of coarse no rebuilt only new Volvo part
Due too limited work space starboard engine almost had too come out but they were able too get pins out
recent weeks steering seems like it locks
having too put pressure on wheel and it frees
My first thinking ps pump ?
As I am writing this post dawned on me the Actuator not greased since install ?
I was tinkering back there yesterday and though the shaft that moves in/out seemed dry no grease
added some PS fluid opened cap bled turning wheel all way. Back & forth hoping too get any air out but I still locks
could the cable from wheel be the issue ?
will get back too boat today trying too find greese fittings on this actuator
