volvo penta powersteering lock hard right

I replaced My powersteeringf actuator on My 2005 5.7l Volvo penta and now it locks up hard right when I crank the engine, . I have to turn the engine off to turn it back left but its hard, Soon as its cranked it turns back right all on its own and lock back up. I thought these systems were self bleeding. Did I get a bad actuator?

you most likely have dirt in the servo actuator. start by changing the fluid.

it did come pack in stryo-foam peanuts, maybe a small piece go it one of the ports

took the return line off the actuator and cranked it up, and it did the same thing. had very little oil coming out of return line , took the pressure line loose and had tons of pressure , , damn actuator is bad!

Actuator servo valve has dirt in it.
