volvo-penta quadrajet carb help..

Need some quick help here because my manual on cd seems to be missing some important info. I have a 1986 bayliner capri with the aq225e engine, which is the 305 chevy engine with the quadrajet carb. Can anyone tell me what the float height is supposed to be? Im pulling it apart in the morning to double check it how the manual shows to check it but it doesnt show the specs..

You have it apart,get all the numbers off the carb,go to the local parts store. Get a rebuild kit,they are around $20.00.
Replace all parts,set to the spec sheet that comes with the kit.the only reason to dissasemble the carb is because there is a problem.
There are many variations on the float heights,depending on engine,manufacture spec's engine angle,ect.
The sheet will get ya there. I am going to the shop this morning but without carb numbers it's no good.
