So like a dummy I over torqued the dipstick and stripped out my thread, had a marine mechanic (who has experience in this repair) install a helicoil. I was getting ready to pressure test it today and noticed my top cap had a little bit of rock to it before tightening the bolts. Upon further inspection, it looks like the helicoil has sticks out about 1mm or so as I can catch my finger nail on it. Questions;

1) Is there any clearance between top of the nut on the upper drive shaft and the dipstick hole on the inside of the top cap?
2) Is a little rocking off the top cap normal before it's tightened down?

Thanks! It’s holding pressure just fine, so assumed it couldn’t be too messed up. :) Now to get my vac pump hook ups sorted out.
