VP 5.0 need help with exaust leak!!

I have a 99 Glastron GS205 with a VP 5.0 with SX drive. I have a large amount of water and exaust pouring out between the hull and the lower unit at the very bottom. I still have some exaust coming out the normal place on the lower unit. What is causing this? This is with the boat trailered and using a hose by the way.
I can't say that I have ever noticed this before. Is there an exaust seal that has gone bad and if so, how hard is this to change. I have had it apart to change the bellows before and I am sure it is not the bellows. Will it hurt it to run like this?

Hi Hoser
It sounds like you have a leak at the bottom of the exhaust manifold.
Where it exits the boat to the outdrive.

It is the horse shoe looking part that the exhuast hoses connect to.
There are 4 bolts and a rubber gasket at the bottom below the engine.

Hope i'm wrong but I had to pull the engine to repair mine.
Actually I had to replace mine as the 2 bottom holes were eaten away.

That is normal for an SX series drive. If you look underneath you will see it is coming out the ports in the sacrificial anode installed there. Unless something was wrong before it has always come out of the spot. For me it's the place where MOST of the water comes out.

Don't feel dumb. I asked the same question when I first got my SX also. It certainly does not LOOK normal to the un-edu-ma-cated.
