I've got the 131D with the Solex 44PA1 (new version) 1bbl carb. After a few outings this year, I think it's running waaay to rich - so much that I'm getting unburned fuel in the oil.
I've got a gasket kit coming from ebay, so I'm going to go ahead and to a rebuild here in a week or so - just in case the problem is a sticking float (and I couldn't hurt anything replacing 22 year old seals).
Anyway in checking the factory manual as provided by Don S., it notates the factory setting for the idle air screw is 9 1/2 turns backed out. I spoke with my mechanic buddy today that says that is rediculous. Says he's never seen an adjustment greater than 2 1/2 turns out.
Any advice from people who've managed this adjustment by themselves before?
