Does anyone have any experience with new engines from Marine Power? Specifically interested in a comparison of a VP 5.7L Gi remanufactured long block vs. a new long block from Marine Power. Good, Bad, Same? I realize they are both GM 350 based engines. But wondering about quality, performance, compatibility since all other "stuff" is being transferred from my old engine. This is for a repower due to a cracked engine block - yes, freeze cracked, :grumpy:.... Thanks in advance.

Reman will be bored at least .030 over for the pistons. It's not a lot of extra cubes, but a few... and more is better. :)

New is new. Reman isn't. The reman got reman'd for a reason, usually lack of maintenance.
