Here's one for you...
I'm in the middle of a complete restore. Before I reinstalled my belly gas tank I changed all the hoses and the siphon hose connector (hose from the tank to the motor). Happened to notice today that the 3/8 fitting I replaced used to have a little anti-siphon ball in it. The new part I picked up didn't.
Obviously the little ball within the adapter is to keep the hoses primed with fuel.
How much of a difference will this new part make? Do I need to drill an inspection hole in my new floor and change out this fitting?
