VP / Fuel Tank Question

Here's one for you...

I'm in the middle of a complete restore. Before I reinstalled my belly gas tank I changed all the hoses and the siphon hose connector (hose from the tank to the motor). Happened to notice today that the 3/8 fitting I replaced used to have a little anti-siphon ball in it. The new part I picked up didn't.

Obviously the little ball within the adapter is to keep the hoses primed with fuel.

How much of a difference will this new part make? Do I need to drill an inspection hole in my new floor and change out this fitting?

Re: VP / Fuel Tank Question

Thanks for the move TD.. I had contemplated posting this here to begin with.

Probably is a good idea to cut a plate into the floor, I just didn't want too because my new deck looks too pretty! lol.

That aside, should I grab an anti-siphon connector and change out the fitting I just replaced?
