I am converting a Johnson 135 from VRO to dual straight fuel pump as was factory equipment from 1980's 150.

I am a little confused about the setup and am hoping someone can shed some light on the connections

Looking at the diagrams on http://epc.brp.com , it looks like the output from one pump is run to the next, in series.

As for vacuum, Ian going to remove the pulse limiter and get a barb from home depot. Can I just get a "T" and split the vacuum to run to both pumps, or is there another place to get vacuum for second fuel pump?

Re: VRO Conversion - Dual Pump

The existing VRO pump is bad so I am going to replace it with an older style pump and go premix.

I read a couple articles on the process and they suggested using 2 pumps on anything bigger than 90hp to prevent fuel starvation and a lean condition.

The pumps I am using are from a 1983 150hp.

Because the pumps work off pulses generated by the crankcase pressure, I am unsure if I need a different pulse for each pump, or if I can just use the same pulse port and just use a "T" to power both pumps.
