Went ahead and disconnected VRO, and mixed all fuel at 50:1, did this as instructed and now seem to be starving for fuel after start up. Will run for about a minute, then starts starving and dies out, ran fine with oil line connected, just was'nt receiving enough oil.

did you block off the oil line into pump? if not it is sucking air.

Sure did TD, just as we had discussed, I'll check all my hose clamps again when I get home, just seems strange that it was'nt starving prior, vapor lock maybe?

If all you did was disconnect just the oil line and plug it, nothing else should have changed regarding the flow of fuel through the gasoline side of the VRO pump except that the gasoline now has oil in it.

Roger that, that's what getting me, unless I'm sucking air through the intake from the oil resevoir, tempted to reconnect back the way it was, then worry about fouling out a set of plug to see if that solves it. I guess the pulse hose could be gunked up, but it would have shown some sort of sign prior to the vro being disconnected, thanks

How did you plug the oil intake on the fuel pump? Best way is to leave a piece of hose with a plug in it and clamp both ends of the hose.

Thanks TD and ezeke, found a fuel line with a hole in it, this was causing the starvation. I did plug both ends of the oil lines that were disconnected, weekends need to come faster so I can see if this was the cause of my overheats. Ran it on the hose for 15 minutes at idle, and temp was in the 150 range on both sides, so we will see.
