I have a 1975 Johnson 115 hp outboard. Is it possible to put VRO on this engine?

I would just keep using premix. Cost is not worth it.

Re: VRO, Is it possible?????

That's what I was kinda thinkin. I had an incident yesterday, we were very low on fuel and had to stop on the lake to fill up, I did not have a gas can to fill up so I had to buy one from the marina for 25 bucks for a 5 gallon gas can, at wal-mart it would be 6 bucks! the whole thing cost me 50 bucks in fuel and a stupid gas can so I could pre-mix. I didn't think I would be able to mix by just pouring the oil in and straight fuel. What do you think, is there another way to do it?

You don't need a can at all. Put oil in tank, them pump a measured amount of fuel into the tank. I.e. a pint of of TW-C3 oil per six gallons of gas.

I just pump gas into the fuel tank and stop the gas pump when it rounds up to the next gallon. Then measure the amount of oil for how many gallons of gas I added to the tank. Pour the oil in the tank and drive to the lake. The fuel mixes on the way there.

Thanks everyone. I just worry about the oil not mixing correctly. I appreciate your help.
