VRO pump

My question is this if you disconnect the vro oil pump can you still retain use of the fuel pump or do you have to physically remove the unit and replace with a new fuel pump I have watched several videos where they show how to disconnect the oil pump with no mention of the fuel pump so I’m a little confused

Went though this my J70TLEUM yes you can just use the fuel pump portion of the VRO pump. Not worth it in my opinion. I just purchased an older model new non VRO fuel pump and installed that. Bolted right in. Mix my fuel by hand now and never looked back and far more dependable. Only time my motor smokes now is just on initial startup @ 50:1 ratio. You just have to remove the crankcase pulse dampener that came with VRO setup and replace it with a straight through nipple so the older fuel pump works properly.
