vro replacement with 2 fuel pumps

I attempted to rebuild my VRO and unfortunatly found a broken part that could not be rebuilt I have ordered 2 h/p fuel pumps from OMC that apparently can be installed in tandem. I am having difficulty finding a schematic or directions ( none in my clymer manual) as how to do this. The part number on the pumps are 0438559. there is an outlet on the base of the pump one on the body of the pump and one on the cover. Any help as to how to do the install or where I can find a schematic would be appreciated

Here is a picture of the pump. Starting at the left, the nipple on the cover is the fuel inlet from the tank. The nipple in the middle is the fuel outlet to the carb and the nipple at the right is the vacuum port.

what motor are you working on? you are converting to a premixed fuel,correct?

The 2 pumps feed from one to the other. Follow the diagram at the BRP parts catalog site for your specific model. If the fuel pump diagram does not show, go back to 1983 for the same horsepower and select "fuel pump":

The moter is a 87 2.7l seadrive I will be premixing after the modification.
thanks for the fuel pump schematic/explanation Silvertip. Thank you for the link to BRP ezeke. Im assuming that I will have to put a T on the Vacume port to make both pumps function

agree, just wanted to make sure your weren't try in to pump oil with one.
