I was wondering if all VRO are the same? I run the one on my 1991 Evinrude E225pxeic and recently found one that was on my 110, It has the four wire lead but do not remember the year. They look the same and heard somewhere that they are interchangable you just can't change the springs, they are calibrated for the motor the VRO came with. Any truth to this?

Ernie.

Re: VRO size

Check out the forum's FAQ section for the true story about the VRO.

Prior to 1998, the VRO's were different internally depending on the motor and also had different fuel outlet fittings. They were not interchangable even though theyl looked similar.

In '98, the VRO was redesigned and made with universal fittings so now one pump will fit all engines, some tiller models excepted.
