I have a 1998 Johnson 50HP outboard that sounded the NO OIL light last week. It happened to me on two consecutive starts after about a minute of running. Then I let the motor sit for 2 hours and then it ran fine (no alarm). How can i verify that my VRO is working correctly? Or mixing oil correctly?
It also "seems" to be running rougher at idle but fine when RPMS are brought higher.
