I get this really rapid beep from my alarm about two beeps per second whether the engine is running or the key is in the on position. It seems to be affected by my tilt control. It goes away for a moment after I use the tilt/trim switch. How does the no oil alarm work? Is there a sensor that senses flow? Can this be serviced or will I have to replace the whole VRO unit?Any suggestions?

Disconnect the wires from the oil tank to the motor. Many times a flakey oil level sender will give out weird beeps on the horn.

Chuggy,

That is your oil alarm.

If it were mine, I would remove the oil tank and clean it out.

Replace the sock on the pick up and refill.

Reprime the unit and run 50:1 premix until you are sure oil is being drawn.

Check all connections.
