So read a lot on here and have been noticing people talk about their max rpm or W.O.T. I have a 75 Glastron with a aq170a and a 270 out drive and now have it running pretty good but when I?m out I don?t run it over 3,000 rpm should I run it at W.O.T.? my thinking is fuel economy and longevity of the motor?

Yeah, running at WOT for extended periods of time is bad for the motor, and its also a waste of fuel. However, knowing that your motor runs well up there and has the correct prop setup is important for motor longevity/peak performance.

WOT is ok sometimes, but your thinking is right on. Unless you're taking someone in for an emergency why push it. 75-80% is more than enough.
