Re: wake ?

Get a heavy boat (arse dragger) and keep it just below planing speed. Putting everything you can at the stern will help.

Course your engine might get mad at you for that as probably the other folks that have to deal with your wake.

I believe the Coast Guard holds you responsible for your wake.

I don't think that will happen with your hull. It is going to be mostly on bass boats and the likes with a pad in the stern. The V-hull is going to keep the motor lower in the water where you won't get the rooster tail spray .

Re: wake ?

Is it the boat in your avatar photo? It should certainly plane with a 115 on a 15' boat!

Re: wake ?

You won't get the rooster tail thing unless you step your hull and put on a 225. :)
You could I guess if you really desperate get a tube a hang it off the back the venturi effect should squirt some water up. Just make sure it doesn't go flying up and kill someone though.

For more waker you need to add weight in the back.
You can buy a small water bed and pump some water into it. But Why would you want to? Are you going to be doing som eheavy duty wake boarding? The wiegiht of that 115 should give you a decent ammount of wake as it is.

Re: wake ?

If all you want is a rooster tail, they make little scoops that do just that. A speed shop might have them or full service boat dealer. If you want to be doubly cool, mount one on each side. They do not make a wave (wake); just shoot a stream of water up in the air to the rear of your boat....the faster you go the higher the tail.

Again on you wanting to tip everyone's boat over just for fun, you are asking for problems which could range from a black-eye, to jail, to financially endowed......Need I say more?

Re: wake ?

I never saw one up close. I just saw the results on boats blasting past me. At least I had no wake to contend with.

Re: wake ?

sounds like a good idea i wonder if it affects the way your trim is adjusted maybe its just like an upsidown hydrofoil putting upwards pressure on the water passing over if it was somthing like this i would imagine it would sit the stern down very deep
