Pun Intended. :)

I'm looking for a wakeboard. I've gone a few times, and I'm completely addicted. But, I need something that I can actually get in and out of. The last time I want, it took 3 people to pull the bindings back off my feet.. I spend most of the winter on a snowboard, so I'm already comfortable with carving and jumping.. Not looking for a beginner board; something I can "grow" into as I improve would be great.

Now the problem. I'm 6'4 and have size 14 feet. The last board I borrowed was a 132cm.. Not knowing much about wakeboard, it felt really small. The bindings had "L-XXL" on them.. But I couldn't get in without a lot of soap and motivation, and I couldn't get out without help.

Any ideas? Thank you very much in advance!

Dude, that small board for you is like trying to ride a small childrens bicycle. :D You need at least a 141 or better board. I would say anything over 140 should be good. I am partial to CWB boards myself, but LF, Hyperlite, and Ronix all make good boards. I recently bought a CWB Absolute 141 with faction bindings and absolutely love the board. Rides nice and smooth and stable in the flats, but will hold a mean edge and gives great pop off the wake, yet landings are smooth and soft, even out into the flats. The hinge type boots from CWB also make it easier to get larger feet into. I'm 6'1 and 220 pounds with size 12 feet and they fit easily into a Large binding. I wouldnt think you'd have too much trouble fitting into an XL boot. Plus, the faction bindings are open toed as well. If you want a big stable board that is less aggressive than the Absolute, check out the Kink by CWB.

We use a mix that has the same properties as boot grease. Same, but cheaper. 100% water soluable so while your in the water they stay tight. Someone can pour a cup into your hands when u want out of em. I'm 6' 225 pounds and fly easily with a 143cm. I get tired of cutting that monster after 3-4 runs though.

Thank you for the help guys! I truely appreciate it. Sounds like I should be looking for a board in the 140+ range.. These hinged bindings sound interesting. I will try to do a little research online and see if I can find anything. Any suggestions for places to start pricing?

Thanks again!

www.ridecwb.com

Also give a call to Doug Goins with Norris Wakeboard and Inboards, his number is 865-604-5982. He is a CWB dealer that has some killer closeout prices. I got a CWB Absolute 141 with Faction bindings, all new 2008 stuff, for $350 shipped.
