Wakeboard style boats

1. What's it called when a wakeboard boat has the prop under neath the boat like on a Mastercraft or Tige?

2. What does this prop positioning do for performance, ride, experience etc?

3. Does this cause issues when you try to park on a sandbar when you want to go party and hang out?

inboard.

less bowrise on takeoff, pulls like a tractor, slower top end, 10k more to buy.

you dont want to beach one.

1 a. inboard, direct drive when the engine is in the center of the boat
1 b. inboard, v-drive when the engine is in the back of the boat

beaching is an excellant way to damage a drive system. not designed for beaching. anchoring off, is fine. they require about 30-36 inches of water.

2...also gives you tons of peace of mind that anyone behind the boat can't hit the prop. inboards aren't top-speed sort of boats. you can change your prop like any boat and get more or less top-end. you sacrifice holeshot of course. this isn't a very efficient design though so gas consumption will be higher.

3 not really. depending on the size of the boat, you've still got around 20' of hull to play with before the running gear hits the sand. you can't tilt the drive up though so you want to be more careful.

#3 -- You do not have 20 feet to play with because their are 3 skegs at the middle of the boat that would contact the sand.
