Wakeboarding and Snowboarding in the same weekend

That's my goal this year. I was at the mountain on Saturday and they still have a ton of snow. Killington VT is only a few hours by car and they should have snow till May or June (although I'm not sure when they shut off the lifts). If I hit the mountain on a Saturday in late April, and have a nice warm Sunday, I'm not opposed to sucking up the cold water (no wetsuit) and taking a run on the wakeboard. (Just to say I did it). Anyone other snowboarders out there winding down their season?

I wish.
My snowboarding season consists of two weeks in the hills of North Carolina. And, dont worry, as long as the water isn't below fifty you should be fine. I think is was fifty-eight degrees on my first time in the lake this season. I knew it was too cold for me, but I was so anxious to get back out in the water. Tell you waht though, felt ike I was stabbed by hundreds of needles on first impact.

It is definatly doable here in Utah, last weekend I was snowmobiling at 9000' about 30-40 minutes from my driveway(longer because its a 35 mph drive up the canyon) and it has been almost 70 down here in the valley. You could drive a coulpe hours south and be on the lake. It would be cold yes but doable with a wetsuit. Snowbird has about a month left to ski and in a month the water of lower lakes will be much warmer than right now. I regularly ski in the morning half and play golf 65-70 deg in the late afternoon. If I wanted to drive a bit further 5+ hours I could be at Lake Powell which is in the middle of the desert and probably 70-80 right now. I have also had good luck to start the year skiing water and snow. I have snow skiied on thanksgiving and gone waterskiing the next day at Utah lake which is only 30 minutes from my house. That was with a 3mm shorty wetsuit..... Love it.

I live in Reno Nevada and Mt Rose is about an hour away also Pyramid Lake is about an hour away. If Mt Rose still has lifts running in mid May I'd say it could definatley be a possiblity for us.

As a side note my snowboarding season ended early because I broke my arm pretty bad doing a boardslide in December. The surgerey went great and the doc says I should be cleared for wake boarding by the first of May.

Yo, I live in Denver, Colorado! 1 hour to snowboarding, 2 hours on the mountain, 1 hour back home. 1 hour getting on the lake, (gear, launching all that) I could be wakeboarding by 2pm! Actually I'v never done that, but it would be cool to say I did. Maybe this year. This could be done in Denver in the same day!
