Walleyehed - any feedback on 5 blade ss

Walleyehed just wondering if you have any insight or heard any comments from anyone regarding the Ron Hill props being sold on ebay under prop19. 5 blade ss props going for about $325

I'm not walleyehead but...<br />These are great Props!!!!<br />I bought one of his proptypes for my glastron in 21 pitch with sking in mind.<br />I weigh 250 and this thing yanked my arms out of the sockets!!! I ended up buying one of his five blades in 23 pitch for that boat. Still pulls like a horse and has better holeshot than my 23 pitch high five. As for top speed I don't know if it is faster than my laser II because my speedo stops at 55 mph and I haven't tried my gps with this thing.<br />I liked it so much I ended up putting the 21 on my blue water fishing boat. I get the same RPM as my 21 pitch mirage plus with much better holeshot.<br />Smoothe ride also. now my wife likes to wakeboard better behind the fishing boat because of the bigger wake.<br />Now If he only made it for small case mercury I would try one for my starcraft superfisherman in 18 pitch.<br />I am in no way affiliated with ron hill other than being a very happy customer.

Depends totally on the application, and in the case of an outboard, you may have to adjust heigth to get the most from it on top-end...which will be less than most high quality 3-blades.<br />Hole-shot tends to be improved, and mid-range holding ability is usually better, but every blade you add is more surface area=drag, and adjustments must be made for it.<br />I've ran some Hill props and he has built some good ones, although I have never run a 5-blade of his, I have run a high5 merc prop and on my application, it doesn't fit in. If my boat had a lower power to weight ratio, it may show better numbers, but as of yet, nothing will touch a Turbo on my Application.
