Depends totally on the application, and in the case of an outboard, you may have to adjust heigth to get the most from it on top-end...which will be less than most high quality 3-blades.<br />Hole-shot tends to be improved, and mid-range holding ability is usually better, but every blade you add is more surface area=drag, and adjustments must be made for it.<br />I've ran some Hill props and he has built some good ones, although I have never run a 5-blade of his, I have run a high5 merc prop and on my application, it doesn't fit in. If my boat had a lower power to weight ratio, it may show better numbers, but as of yet, nothing will touch a Turbo on my Application.
