Motor on my dad's boat. Standing at back of boat with engine running on muffs, the left bank gets hotter than hell, while the right bank seems alot cooler. Is there a problem? This is my first V4 problem ever.

Nate....there's that flat place just forward of the head on top of the block. If you can't touch that for several seconds after the engine warms....it's overheating. Since the starboard head seems OK, I'd go after the t-stats. The stat for the port head probably have failed closed.

Sorry Nate if I confused you any....my defining of the English language ain't real good sometimes. I should have put in there, "Since the starboard head seems Ok, the pump appears to be working....etc, etc."

Thanks for the bail out Ken..... :D
