If I did not have my Lone Star in progress I would make him an offer. I really like the early '60s cuddys. I also think the price is too high, but consider all the time and money we spend on getting our 30 to 40 year old boats back in the water and to the standards we like. Here's one that survived intact for 47 years. If you like them original it's perfect.
I read the other thread and I think our members ripped the guy too hard. Yes the price is high. I emailed him and he's trying to finance his daughter's wedding. I wished him well and directed him to fiberglassics where he might find someone like me who appreciates the old girls.
Yes, I learn a lot by doing repairs myself but I'd rather be out cruising today than laying fiberglass.
