Obviously you did not take my advice ang google Glen-L

They have all types of boats and even some that are stitch and glue builds.

There are so many different kinds of boats, and ways to build them. I would recommend something small and simple to get your feet wet (bad choice of expression there). Some people are the kind that can tackle a very complex task the first time out, and patiently finish it over months and months of spare time. Others want to buy lumber on Friday and go fishing on Saturday (which is technically possible). Quality boats mean expensive materials. You can slap together a flat bottom row boat very quickly out of Home Depot plywood and lumber, and have a perfectly functional boat. At least you're not out much if you screw it up or lose interest. Once you get into building a boat with a full frame, such as a runabout, the process becomes more complex, all though not much more difficult. Your first effort will teach you a lot, then you can sell it or give it to the neighborhood kids or something. From there, you can move on to something more complicated, and pony up for (much) more expensive materials. Today I bought mahogany to re-do my 13' Whaler interior. 2 plank seats, and two small rails to hold them in place came to $120! Imagine what an entire boat would cost! You also need to consider what tools you have versus what you will need. I can pretty much build a simple boat with little more than a jigsaw and a hammer. Again, as you increase the complexity, you're looking at a table saw, drill, sanders, hand-held electric planer, bandsaw, etc. I'm not trying to discourage you; actually, I hope you'll jump in and build something and share it with us. My advice is to start small and simple.

I myself thought about building a boat from scratch, but I realized that I could buy a fixer upper and save allot of time and money. Many times you can find free boats on craigslist. You might even have someone willing to pay you to take away a boat. If your lucky you might get a nice trailer with it. Once you have the hull gutted you can turn it into just about anything you want. I guess it depends on what your end game is. Ability to brag to friends (build your own) getting out on the water in the cheapest and quickest time (look for free boats that have a good hull.
