It was a sad day, I buried my ?87 I-6 115HP Merc today. ( removed it from the boat)
I?m going to sell my SS prop which was on it. It?s a 14/15. I?m going to clean it up. ( next question, what?s a good cleaner for a SS prop). Its in good shape ( just needs cleaning). I see SS props are expensive!

Is it just a Merc SS prop 14/15, or is it a HP range (obviously is not for a 9.9HP!), Also, do I have to say 2-stroke, O/B, or does that matter? ( How specific in description must I be)

Thanks

As much information as you can. They are year, horsepower, 2stroke/4 stroke, thru-prop exhaust specific. Many props fit a wide range of years and models, but pretty much stick to manufacturers, so a Johnson prop will not fit a Mercury, etc. Your Mercury prop should fit Mariner though.

No.
As long as the shaft diameter and # of splines match - which covers a lot of territory - you're good.
Some others can probably site make model and years for you.
I''ve swapped Merc props on Yammies and Forces before though.
