Likely you will have to change mounting hole pattern and certainly the controls.

That said, I really wonder if the transome will hold up to the weight of big *** Honda. I mean I bet your 150 Force is fraction of the weight of a 225 Honda. Your going from a 4 cylinder 2 cycle, probably weighs a little over 300 lbs, to a 4-stroke V-6 (I think) with all the valvetrain and that sort of stuff. If I'm not mistaken I think I remember seeing that Honda motor come in at just shy of 600lbs.

Is your boat even rated for 225 hp?

Yes, check to make sure that you boat will handle that weight and power before you buy.

I too doubt your rating is high enough and you need to change your BOAT.

I think that the Trophy is rated for 150hp max. A 225 would be way overpowering that boat.

Like Bob says, The 20 foot Trophy is certainly not rated for 225. 150-180 would be a good guess.

The Force 150 is 5 cylinder and significantly heavier than the Force 4 cylinder engines. If you are dead set on changing, probably just about everything from mounting to controls to fuel fittings will need replacement. The ignition switch may or may not need replacement but for sure it will need rewiring with the 225 electric cable.

The only thing that can stay is the steering because the helm and cable is standard.
