However...... I will lend you some leads.
The "owner's manuals" can be obtained from a dealer but in my opinion they are not detailed enough. I would suggest if you are going to keep the motor to purchase an original shop manual from Mercury. They are allot of money but worth their weight in gold.
Clymer and Seloc print manuals that are good for the consumer level and cover all the basics....... many available here on iboats

You can also try ebay and often receive a cheap scan of a manual
Regardless having a good manual on hand is VERY valuable
