Something that will hold up as a step down off my bow, right now the winch gear is my step and it's not the best especially in bare feet, I'm thinking about doing something with some aluminum skid plate material I have resembling a square fender over the winch to both protect it from the elements and create a step off bow to trailer for winch loading. Anyone have anything similar for stepping off the bow to your trailer winch?

I had a custom winch post made to handle both an electric and manual winch, but ended up making the manual base into a step. $60 included hot dip galvanizing.

check these out for some ideas. http://www.ezeestep.com/reviews.htm

I don't have any pics handy but I borrowed this guys design idea and home built one that's like the 2nd up from the bottom on the sea-doo.

It was the easiest and works extremely well.

Absolutely excellent illustrations never thought about 2 or 3 steps, heck mama could even step off the bow with that 3 stepper, thanks for the link.
