Re: Wards ID on outboard.
Hi Bearcamp<br />A book out there somewhere? Yes there are several. I use factory/dealer year/model guides for most ID's. Some of these publications may be challanging to find, but not impossible. They're like gold in a way, they are where you find them. Just start looking. For ID's on older, obsolete models I use Peter Hunn's Old outboard book. You may find a copy at your local library or purchess a copy at a book store, etc. It is a great book with tons of info. Scrounging info is just like scrounging parts, it can become habit forming. I tend to collect info on all things mechanical. So much so that storage and organization start to become a problem. I have stuff that I do know what it is, but I know someone will need it some day. I tend to get this stuff in lots, lots of it I want and lots I don't. The stuff I don't is too good to toss though. Have fun.
