Ward's Sea King ~ Addled Wench (beginnings)

Good day to all

I've just signed in, so I'm new to the forum....new to boat owning too.

Any and all help is needed.
My father has a Ward's Sea King 15' fiberglass, she's been sitting a long~long time.
How can I find out~ her age (year made), info on her 55 H.P motor (Ward's Sea King), and locate photos from her youth (would love to restore).

See if you can find the serial number. Wards was nice enough to code the year into the SN. Like this: 95X is a 1959. 76X is a 1967. 37X is a 1973. Easy to figure out that you reverse the numbers before the "X" and that is the year.

Um.....do you have the title? Depending on how strict your state is, you are wasting time and money unless you have a title. You can't use it if you can't register it.

Find the Fiberglassics website. That is the top forum on identifying old FG boats. Lots of data on file and people to answer your questions.

I'm looking for those numbers listed before an X, have not found them as yet.

My Father passed last Friday 9/10/10........God Bless him and hold him gently.

But we will try to carry on with his wishes to fix her up. There's just going to be abit of a pause...perhaps it will make a good winter project.
