Warning buzzer / alarm going off after running

I have a buzzer that goes off with key on acc and then usually goes off after starting the engine. The buzzer is now not going off. It's a lesser buzzer though. The engine oil pressure is good between 40-60. Temp slowly rises as i let the engine run. (i have not had it up to running rpms this year yet)

The only thing that changed is the amount of lower unit gear oil. I had a small leak in my reservoir and have yet to refill it. Does the alarm sound if lower unit gear oil is low?

Everything looks fine and is the same as last year.

Yes.

Also, the alarm circuit is just a simple "ground-operate" indicator. The temp, oil pressure, and drive oil sensors are simple switches that have one side connected to a common wire (brown I think) and the other side to ground.

When ANY of the switches closes (or the brown wire chafes and touches ground) the alarm sounds!

Fill the reservoir and see if it fixes it (or disconnect it from the reservoir)

Re: Warning buzzer / alarm going off after running

keep in mind that with the key switch in the on position and the engine not running an alarm will sound due to there being zero oil pressure

once the engine is running and the oil pressure reaches the threshold the alarm should stop
