I hav a 2000 75 ELPTO 3 cyl with the buzzer sounding even when key is turned. I disconnected the wire leading to the oil tank and it stopped. It runs fine and seems too be getting oil. is that sensor only to tell if there is low oil or does it say it is not getting enough oil? How do you know if you are getting beside the blue smoke? Does the oil pumping system go bad? I read my problem has to do with magnets that have come loose in oil tank and the only way to fix is to put on a new tank. Is that correct? Basically, can I leave the wire undone and be OK? Thanks in advance for any comments
