Hello all.....boy, I could really use your help!!! Ok, I have a 1997 Honda BF90 on a 1997 Nautica Cat. I love(d) it. I recently replaced the throttle and tranny cable...Since then, the warning buzzer has been going off. A nautical buddy of mine said that it was the low fuel, or water contamination alarm since no warning lights were present. So...I replaced the fuel filter...and installed a water/fuel seperator.....to no avail, I still get a warning buzzer and a 1000 rpm limit.
In my haste, I may have yanked some wires while pulling the remote out of the console to replace the control cables.
This is my first boat, so I am still learning the ropes.
Any ideas short of taking it to a honda marina? Any idea on where to get an electrical schematic for the BF90 and contros??

Thanks for reading and for the love of the fishing god, please help!!

Hoolz....

The first order of business is to isolate the boat from the engine. You did'nt mention wether this was a side mount ,or console control. Each has their own challenges and all it takes is one chafed wire to put you in this situation.Try to find a way to plug this into a different engine harness.
