I have a 1993 Mariner 90HP that I been using for 4 years without problem.
Upon trying to find out why there is no warning horn signal upon starting, I found out that a previous owner had disconnected the horn in the shifter.
I then reconnected and started the motor, the warning horn turned on as its supposed to ( although somewhat squeaky) then off. After a short trip in the boat the warning horn sounded ( squeeky) again. Plenty of oil in the resevoir. Normal cooling water streaming out the back spout. Could this be the warning module going bad?
What do I look at next?
