I need to replace the horn/buzzer/ringer on the warning system on my boat. It's the little horn located under the dash. The boat was used in salt water and it finally totally corroded.
Engine is a Mariner 150 ELPTO - Model # 7150725 Serial # 06637205 (1985?)

Is there a specific part number or will any 12v, 2 lead horn work?

Does this alarm signal more then just the oil injection system?

I believe the merc horns are simple two wire horns. One side is always connected to +12VDC. The other side is connected to the overheat sensor and oil injection sensors. The sensors ground if anything bad happens.
