Hi guys, i just wanted your opinion in this deal 1997 sunbird spirit 150 bowrider 15.9 ft)with a 1997 johnson that is running good but needs a tilt pump(not electric), tilt pump costs 400,<br />was it a good deal for 3000?
100% depends on condition. Also need to know size of engine. Once a boat is more than several years old the value nose dives unless it is in mint condition.<br /><br />My Manual for my engine has a complete section on power trim and tilts. If I was you I'd get a manual for your engine and go over that section before I started shelling out any $$. That's my take on it. Hope it all works out well.
I had a Sunbird and loved it. It was a solid boat that could take a lot of water. Sounds like a good deal to me. Shop around for that tilt pump. I had one go and replaced it with one I got from a marine used part dealer I had it over 5 years and it worked great.<br />Stalker
