Hi gents. I've been up here for a couple of years, and I love the salmon but it seems pretty elusive to me. I've always been kind of quiet so I didn't make a bunch of fishing buddies to hang out with, and I've never quite caught all of the skinny on salmon here. I know the basics of actually doing it, but where can I find a good, up to date fishing report so I can figure out where to fish. I'm stuck on fresh water for the next few weeks, but I've about finished the engine in the Reinell and I'll see some time on salt, too. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear.

Check out GameFishin.com and go to the forums page.

Lots and lots of local fishing info for both salt and fresh water fishing.

If you post a question there are lots of people willing to help out.

I fished Elliott Bay for kings this evening. Only had one good take down but the fish did not get hooked. I'll be back out there in the morning.

If your looking for some good sites try Salmon University . You will find lots of good information and they do give some great seminars around the area. Also try going to Puget Sound Anglers ,they have chapters in many areas and you can find lots of info at their meetings.

Good Luck, Kevin

Re: washington fishing

I've fished off of Port.....Renfrow or Renford??? Up there out of the river. Before I lost all of my friends in the divorce, I had a friend whose father lived up at Lake Cowichan. Excuse my spelling if I'm off. It's been awhile. Thanks for the good information fellas. I'm still waiting on the mechanic to get my Reinell in the water, but for calm days, I'll have my little aluminum boat in next weekend. I've just about finished the paint job on it. Keep the information coming. And if anyone needs a salmon partner on the weekends, shoot me an email. It's in my profile. I'll meet you with the beer, half the gas money, or whatever. You just lead us to the salmon. :)

Re: washington fishing

Scotty, I honestly wish I could. That place is always hot. It just isn't going to happen this year. The best I think I'm going to end up with is getting my little aluminum boat finished this week and hitting the quieter areas around me in the next week or so. Being in my line of work, I spent about half of this year on the other side of the world and just didn't get the start I needed, so I've been plugging away at it but I'm not a mechanic and my mechanic is overwhelmed with all of the work he has going on right now. That's kept me off of the water, and looking toward freshwater salmon and maybe putting the little boat out. When you get bored and need a tagalong, you shoot me an email and I'll get my license for Canada and make my way up through Port Angeles and come over. :) I'll still buy the beer.

Re: washington fishing

Thanks, Scotty. I'll keep an eye out for your fishing report. Just finished the outside of my little aluminum boat, and I'm planning to get out on Sunday in this area. Heard the fish were biting just a couple of miles from me.
