I have a newly aquired Maxum 2100sc 5.0 Carb'd, full fresh water cooling, Alpha 1 leg
I believe the boat has overheated recently (my fault for not knowing about a through hull sea water pick up for raw water), so Im in the midst of removing the raw water pump to check the impeller. Funny thing is when I finally got it out it looks good, turns and squeaks, (I'll replace it anyway), but when turning the engine circulating pump there is absolutely no resistance at all, Im pretty sure its a metal wheel inside the circ pump, not rubber, but should there not be some resistance?
Any way to check if its still circulating or not?
Raw pump no. 882814c
Coolant pump 10108455
Thanks all
