Water coming from exhaust?

We had my engine (470) running out of water for the first time today in order to change the coolant. I noticed while we were doing this (using Muffs) that a bit of water appeared to be spurting out of the exhaust through the prop. is this normal or should the exhaust air be completely dry?

Perfectly normal. You also should have water coming out of the transom shield thru the idle relief ports. 2 one inch holes at the base of the transom shield.

Water is mixed with the exhaust in the elbows. This is to cool the exhaust so it does not burn/melt the rubber coupler hoses and bellows it exits through.
