Water coming in...any Ideas

Took the new boat out on the maiden voyage yesterday. She ran fan except that every time she was under power, a bit of water would stream on the floor, right where the driver sits. The speedometer didn't work either, wondering if not having that hooked up is allowing a bit of water in. Other than that she ran like a champ. Any guesses? I know, pretty open ended, going to the dealer tomorrow

Why it certainly will. The sensor that is on the back of the boat is nothing but a tube running all the way up to your speedometer. If unhooked, it will push water through the tube. Normally the tube is full of air. Be sure to blow the tubing out making sure all water is out. Then hook it back up to you speedometer. The pressure of the water forcing up the tube compress's the air in the tube. The speedometer measures this pressure and converts it to knots/mph.

also the seam between the hull and cap, behind and under the rub rail, will sometimes not get caulked, and leak between the seam, when getting out of the hole and slowing down. i had that problem. turn the water hose on the side up high.
