Water coming out near the Power-Head

Hi

I have a 1963 40 hp Johnson, and this weekend wanted to try my motor on the water and test it in the back yard before going to the river and notice that water is coming out of a gasket where the head and the lower unit connects, i was wondering is this normal and if not what do i need to fix it . The water coming out it is situated underneath the spark plugs .

Can you post a pic? If the water leak doesn't show up well on camera, perhaps you could use a screwdriver or something to point out the spot where the water is leaking from.

I will post pics tonight for you Yorab.

Ok here are some pics of the motor , but will get you pics with a screw driver pointing in the direction of where it is leaking, but in the mean while it is under head where is linking .
