WATER DEFLECTOR CORRISON JOHNSON

THE 89 60hp johnny i have was running hot .I took out the thermostat to test and it didnt overheat but with the stat in it does.Can anyone tell me if the 89 60hp Johnsons had water deflectors stock on them.I wanted to know before I pull the head ..By the way brand new water pump, impeller thermostat,tell tale peeing properly??????????

Joe, if it didn't heat without the t-stat, but did with it in maybe the t-stat is bad? just a hunch.<br /><br />Rich
